Parameter Insights Widget¶
Part of the Widget View guide.
The Parameter Insights Widget interface allows users to create parameter insights widget with different timeframe and size information. It enables operations teams to configure rule-based insights and conditional color coding based on specific machine or device parameter thresholds within a designated dashboard view.
Step 1¶
First, look at the top right corner of the interface. The View dropdown displays the pre-existing dashboard view inside which you are currently creating this widget. If needed, click the copy icon next to it to copy this View ID for sharing or reference.

Step 2¶
Provide an appropriate name under Widget Label, select a Widget Width, select a Widget Height, choose a Background Color, input a priority position number under Sequence, and select a Timeframe from their respective fields under Widget details.

Step 3¶
Scroll down to the Choose Parameter section to define the source telemetry data. Depending on your configuration needs, toggle the Device switch on the top right:
When Device Toggle is Disabled (Off):¶
- Select your target environment from the **Workspace** dropdown menu.
- Select the designated asset from the **Machine** dropdown menu.
- Choose the desired metric from the **Params** dropdown menu.

When Device Toggle is Enabled (On):¶
- Select your target operational scope from the **Workspace** dropdown menu.
- Choose the equipment category from the **Device Type** dropdown menu.
- Select the specific hardware tracker from the **Device** dropdown menu.
- Choose the target telemetry metric from the **Params** dropdown menu.

Step 4¶
Navigate to the Insights section to set up your conditional logic parameters:

Input a descriptive title for this alert rule inside the Label text field.

Assign a visual indicator tint from the Color dropdown menu.

Define your primary condition criteria from the Operator 1 dropdown menu and assign its threshold inside the corresponding Value text field.

Define your secondary condition criteria from the Operator 2 dropdown menu and assign its threshold inside the corresponding Value text field.
Click the Add button to stage the configured rule into the insights data table.
Finally ,click Create.
