Notifications & Alerts¶
Enture watches your machines continuously and raises an alert the moment something needs attention — a parameter crossing a threshold you've defined, a VFD tripping on a fault, or a CNC machine reporting an alarm. This section covers where those alerts show up, how they're organised, and how to make sure the right people find out about them.
Where alerts come from¶

Each source has its own detailed history and detail view (see the linked pages), but all three also feed into the two places described below, so you don't have to check three different screens to know if something is wrong.
The notification bell¶
The bell icon in the top header shows a badge with the number of unacknowledged issues across your organisation. Click it to open a short list of the most recent ones.
- Trigger notifications in the bell can be acknowledged directly from the dropdown.
- VFD and CNC alerts in the bell link straight to the machine's own dashboard, where you can review and (for VFD) acknowledge them.
Click View all at the bottom of the dropdown to open the full Trigger Notifications list.
CNC alarms are view-only for now
CNC alarms appear in the bell and the Machine Issues dashboard so you can see them at a glance, but acknowledging a CNC alarm isn't supported yet — use the CNC machine's own Historian/Alarms panel to review them in detail.
Trigger Notifications page¶
Reached via View all in the bell, or Notifications → Trigger Notifications in the sidebar. Shows the full history of trigger-based notifications with:
- Pending / All / Acknowledged tabs
- Filters for severity and open/closed status, plus a date range on the All and Acknowledged tabs
- Summary counts for critical and warning pending items
- An Acknowledge button on each row (hidden if you don't have permission to acknowledge that item — see Escalation Matrix)
Notifications Summary page¶
Notifications → Summary in the sidebar gives a 30-day view of trigger notification volume: unacknowledged count, average time-to-acknowledge, acknowledgement rate, and a breakdown by severity and open/closed status.
Machine Issues — the fleet-wide view¶
While the bell and the Trigger Notifications page are focused on triggers, Machine Issues (Notifications → Machine Issues in the sidebar) brings triggers, VFD alarms, and CNC alarms together into one view of "which machines currently have a problem." See Machine Issues for details.
Escalation — getting the right people notified¶
By default, an open issue is only visible to whoever's looking at the relevant screen. If you need specific people to be actively notified — by email or Telegram — and have that notification escalate to someone else if it's not acknowledged in time, that's what an Escalation Matrix does. See Escalation Matrix.
