Batch Journey¶
The Batch Journey page shows the complete lifecycle of a single batch: every process it passed through, the metrics recorded at each stage, and the individual line runs within each process.
Page layout¶
Header¶
The header shows the batch ID, with its product (SKU) and the date range it was active alongside it. If the batch is still in progress, the end date is shown as ongoing.
On the right, a toggle switches between Steps (the default, described below) and Flow — a diagram view of the batch's path through your processes. Next to it, Export To CSV downloads the batch's full data as a spreadsheet.
Summary strip¶
A compact strip beneath the header shows, at a glance:
- Total Duration — combined time across all processes
- Processes — number of manufacturing stages
- Total Lines — total line runs involved
- SKU — the product being produced
On a narrow screen this stacks into a column instead of a single row, so it stays readable on a phone or tablet.
Process columns¶
Each process the batch passed through is its own column, laid out left to right in the order the batch moved through them — scroll sideways if there are more processes than fit on screen at once.
Each column shows:
- The process name and a number marking its position in the sequence
- Its start and end time, and how long it took
- How many line runs happened in this process
If the process has a metric template configured and more than one line ran, a Show Avg button appears — click it to show the averaged metric values across all the lines in that process, right there in the column header. For a process with only one line run, there's nothing to average, so this button doesn't appear; the one run's own figures are already visible below.
Line runs within a process¶
Below the header, each process column lists its own line runs, scrolling independently of the other columns:
- Two or fewer line runs are shown directly, one card each — a card lists the line's name and status, its start/end time, duration, and the metric values recorded for that run.
- More than two line runs get a toggle between two ways of looking at them:
- Tabs (the default) — one run's card shown at a time, selected from a row of tabs
- Accordion — every run listed as a collapsible row, so several can be expanded and compared side by side
Either way, click a run's card to expand the raw input and output parameters recorded during that run.
Note
If a process has no metric template configured, no averaged or per-run metric values are shown — only the run's timing and status. Raw input/output params are still visible per line run regardless.
Flow view¶
Switching the header toggle to Flow shows the same batch as a diagram instead of columns — useful for seeing how processes branched or converged, rather than reading them as a sequence. Click a node in the diagram to see its details.
Navigating back¶
