Power Quality¶
The Power Quality page shows how power factor has trended over time for each incomer. A consistently low power factor indicates reactive power issues that can lead to utility penalties and reduced efficiency in your electrical system.
Selecting a period and grouping¶
The page loads automatically for the last 30 days. Use the period pills to switch the range — the chart refreshes instantly, no button to press:

A Grouping selector controls how the data is bucketed:

Power factor trend chart¶
A line chart shows one line per incomer, covering the selected period. Each line represents the average power factor for that incomer over each time bucket.
A dashed reference line is drawn at 0.9 — the threshold below which most utilities apply a power factor penalty or reactive energy charge.
Reading the table¶
Below the chart, a table lists the power factor value for each day (or week/month) and each incomer.
Values below 0.9 are highlighted in red as a quick visual indicator of periods that may attract utility penalties.
What to look for
- A sustained PF below 0.9 on your EB incomer suggests your facility may benefit from power factor correction equipment (capacitor banks).
- Occasional dips are normal during equipment start-up or light-load periods.
- Solar and wind incomers may naturally show lower PF values depending on the inverter technology — check with your electrical engineer before drawing conclusions.
No data shown¶
If the chart is empty for the selected period, it means no parameters with a power factor tag have been mapped to your incomer machines. Ask your engineer to verify the parameter configuration in the Digital Twin.
