Widget Catalog

Part of the Widget View guide. This page helps you pick the right widget when a few sound similar, and lists every widget type in one place.

With 38 widget types available, several sound alike at first glance. This page groups the look-alikes and explains what actually separates them, so you can pick the right one instead of guessing.

Gauges — four ways to show one number as a dial

  • Gauge — always live, one parameter, colour bands. The simplest option when you just want a live needle with red/amber/green zones.
  • Angular Gauge — like Gauge, but can also show a historical aggregate (usage/average/min/max over a period) instead of only live.
  • Bullet/Angular Gauge Widget — not one dial but several, all for the same machine, each tracking a usage-percentage indicator (energy, power factor, etc.) over month-to-date/year-to-date.
  • Consumption Gauge — for a combined total (one or more parameters summed) measured against a target, with an up/down trend indicator. Use this one when the question is "are we on track against a goal," not just "what's the current reading."

Banners — one big number

  • Banner — one raw parameter as a headline stat, with optional unit, duration/number-base formatting, colour bands, and a battery-style indicator.
  • Param Equation Banner Widget — the same headline-stat treatment, but for a computed value (an equation like Net Power = Import − Export) instead of a single raw parameter.

Pie charts — three variants

Bar & trend charts — the biggest family

Machine status — five ways to look at uptime

Tables & scorecards

  • Table Widget — a fully free-form grid you design yourself (any rows, any columns); the only widget where you can write a new value back to a parameter directly from the cell.
  • Shift Based Usage Table Widget — fixed shape: one row per shift, one usage total per row.
  • Trigger Count Table Widget — one row per trigger/alarm, with how many times it fired.
  • Parameter Insights Widget — one row per custom rule you define (e.g. "High"/"Low"/"Ideal"), counting how many days a parameter fell into each band.
  • Usage Score Card Widget — one row per KPI, showing yesterday's value and its colour-coded percentage change vs. last week/month.

Everything else

  • Machine Widget — a compact machine card: name, live status, key readings, click-through to details.
  • Bitwise Word Widget — decodes a packed status/alarm register bit-by-bit into readable meanings.
  • Image Widget — a static picture, no data at all.
  • Busbar Live Monitoring Widget — a rolling live tail of recent readings from a busbar temperature module, with no historical mode.
  • Parameter Status Based Widget — a traffic-light-style status indicator driven by rules you define; the widget mentioned on the Widget View page for click-through to another view.
  • TOD Billing Widget — a dashboard summary of daily Time-of-Day tariff cost per machine, with a built-in "Generate Report" button.
  • Dynamic Log Widget — trends fields from a custom logbook/record type your organisation has set up, for logs without a dedicated widget of their own.

Not sure which one your view needs?

If you have engineering access, opening the "+" button on a view shows the same catalog with icons and short descriptions — pick a tile there to start building, and come back to this page if two options still look too similar.
