Best Practices

Image Quality

  • Use high-resolution images for clarity when zoomed
  • Optimize file sizes to maintain performance
  • Use PNG for graphics, JPG for photos

Sizing

  • Start at 1x zoom and adjust as needed
  • Maintain consistent sizes for similar image types
  • Consider the overall diagram scale

Positioning

  • Align images with other diagram elements
  • Leave space around images for labels
  • Position logos in corners where they won't interfere with the diagram content

File Management

  • Use descriptive file names for easier identification
  • Keep original image files accessible for future updates
  • Consider creating a library of commonly used images

Tips

  • Transparency: Use PNG format if you need transparent backgrounds
  • Scaling: Upload larger images and scale down for best quality when zooming
  • Performance: Very large images may slow down the diagram - optimize before uploading
  • Layering: Images appear in the order they're added - add background images first
